Rohem Instruments Private Limited was founded in 1977 by an Indo-Swiss couple; Mr. R. N. Mukerjee and Mrs. Hedwig Wechsler Mukerjee. Whilst living in London, they acquired the technology to manufacture counting chambers through a technical collaboration with Gelman-Hawksley, and began production at our facility in Nasik, India, in 1978.

After making a name for ourselves through our counting chamber manufacture, we expanded our product range to include microscope slides and cover glass. Today, Rohem Instruments is a third generation family owned and operated business with a strong presence in India and abroad.
